Calry Parish Church was founded in 1824. G 697 361. Gerard Close. An old postcard view, from Reg Dosell's Collection. Another old postcard in Reg Dosell's Collection. This almost identical postcard (also from Reg's collection) caused some initial confusion because I misinterpreted the caption as "Calry" - my appreciation to Howard Richter for clarifying the matter, and advising of this link.

Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and St. Mary the Virgin (CoI). G 688 357. Gerard Close.

Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (R.C.). Interior view. G 688 358. Gerard Close. An old postcard view. Jim Foley has advised that this close-up view of a door from a postcard titled "The Cathedral, Sligo" is of the Catholic Cathedral. Old postcard interior view. All postcards from Reg Dosell's Collection.

Chapel of St. Bernadette (R.C.). G 691 359. Gerard Close (2015).

Dominican Convent of the Holy Cross, dating from 1252/3. G 693 358. Gerard Close.

The Dominican Holy Cross Friary (R.C.). A view from the inner courtyard. G 691 357. Both Gerard Close.

Methodist Church. Currently undergoing restoration, it was built in 1830. G 687 360. Gerard Close. Gerard has also sent a photo post-restoration - Gerard Close (2013).

Presbyterian Church. G 690 357. Gerard Close.

The former Presbyterian Church, built 1851, and since 1954 used as Sligo Library. G 692 360. Gerard Close.
